A Hearts Long Awaited Return:

After being out of the atmosphere of the Prayer Room for almost a full two week due to sickness and then family vacation. The only thing that was keeping me awake on the 16 hour drive back home was the anticipation to get back into the Prayer Room. Sitting down in these gray stiff-backed cushioned chairs has never felt so good. I now know what was meant when Dorothy said “there is no place like home”. Mind you I did not have click my heals three times wearing ruby shoes to get back. All I had to do was rely on my trusty driving skills and here I am. While being back home it was nice to be at my folks house for a time of rest and relaxation, while there though I realized that the heart likes to be in a familiar place. While some would say that NY is my home and it is time to come back I would have to say that the Prayer Room feels like that place to my heart in this season of time. Don’t get me wrong, the web stream is a lifesaver when you are on vacation, or not in KC, but there is nothing like sitting in the prayer room and letting the love of Christ wash over you. Being away from this place only stirs my heart for more of it. Now off to prepare for teaching, only about a week before classes start, I think I still don’t know what day it is.
